About dianna

I didn’t grow up imagining I would become a therapist. My path here has moved through different roles, cultures, and chapters of life, and those experiences have shaped the way I sit with people today.
I was born in the United States and spent my early childhood in Toluca, Mexico, where I lived until I was six. By the time I returned to the U.S., Mexico wasn’t simply part of my heritage; it was home. Returning meant learning English and finding my place in a different culture while already being deeply rooted in another. I also became a mother very young and built a life while I was still growing into myself.
Perhaps because of that, I’ve always been interested in what exists beneath what we can see from the outside. In my work, I’m drawn to the places where insight alone hasn’t been enough—when you understand your patterns but still find yourself repeating them, or know something intellectually that feels entirely different emotionally.
I see therapy as a relationship, not a performance. I’m warm, engaged, and direct. I pay attention, ask questions, laugh with my clients, and sometimes ask, “Can we stay here for a second?” when something important seems to emerge.
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and welcome clients from all backgrounds, without assuming that any one aspect of a person’s identity defines them.
Outside the therapy room, I love books, film, music, travel, baking, time with my family, and life with my two dogs, Otis and Oliver.
